NEC FC will shift focus to the league after exiting the Caf Confederation Cup last week against Nairobi United FC.

The Bugolobi based side head coach Hussein Mbalangu is unhappy with league organisers for not rescheduling their fixture against URA FC due this evening at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.

Mbalangu laments that they wanted the game to be rescheduled due to injuries but the organisers refused.

“We have lots of injuries in the camp and after travelling on road to Nairobi, we had asked Fufa to reschedule the game but they refused so we shall use the available players,” Mbalangu revealed to the media

Allan Mugalu, Titus Ssematimba, James Jarieko, Emmanuel Kulanga, Timothy Muwanguzi, Siraje Sentamu and Daniel Shabena are all set to miss the contest due to injuries.

Despite the injury woes, Mbalangu asserts that they will travel to URA in a bid for maximum points.

“The target is to try to win every game and we shall focus on that for now. We know the strengths and weaknesses of our opponents and we look to utilize our opportunities.” He stated

URA FC on the other hand will be targeting maximum points against Mbalangu’s men, the tax collectors played out to a goalless stalemate against BUL FC on Match Day One.
