Geoffrey Ssenyonga scored the only goal as Kyaggwe won 1-0 away at Buweekula in the first leg of their 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup semi-final on Sunday, 12th October 2025.
Kyaggwe will carry a one-goal advantage into next Sunday’s second leg at Bishops SS Grounds in Mukono after Ssenyonga’s finish rewarded a confident display at Buweekula.
Unfazed by a buoyant home atmosphere, Simon Peter Mugerwa’s Kyaggwe took the lead in the second period courtesy of a Ssenyonga poacher’s finish.
Kyaggwe successfully stemmed the Buweekula’s flow as the second half continued, remaining compact and controlling possession to leave hosts frustrated and secure a one-goal advantage ahead of next Sunday’s second leg.
Last year when the two sides met, Kyaggwe overcame Buweekula to 2-1 on aggregate to reach their maiden final.
Meanwhile, Ssingo prevailed to a 2-1 comeback win at 2006 Masaza Cup finalists Bugerere in Ntenjeru in the other semifinal.
