Ten members of the Uganda Boxing national team (Bombers) began their journey at the ongoing Africa Zone 3 Boxing Championships held in Nairobi, Kenya on a high on during their quarterfinal bouts on Monday, 20th October 2025.
Aziz Ringo emerged as the winner during his fight with Tanzania’s Emanuek Augustino when he stopped him in the 2nd round of their 92kgs bout.
Kassim Murungi had a unanimous victory over Badibanga Badianyama from Congo while Matovu Livingstone overcame Kelvin Maina from Kenya by split decision.



Alfred Ojok had a dominant performance over Rwanda’s Patrick Ndiyashimye whereas Edward Mukwaya beat Joseph Shigali from Kenya.
Jimmy Adriko powered past Ethan Main afro from Kenya while Brenda Muduwa overcame Nkelani Bawala from Congo
Alex Kanaabi beat Ethiopia’s Ermivas Mesfin.Meanwhile, Kato Kazibwe lost on his international debut against Congo’s Tsimba Mayala on Monday.
Host nation Kenya along with Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Ethiopia, Somalia, Gabon, Congo Brazzaville, Central African Republic (CAR) and Cameroon are the countries that will take place in the championship.
