The Uganda Boxing Champions League returned on Saturday night with week 11 at Lugogo Indoor.
The fight night was graced by the President of South Sudan Boxing Federation Teresa Athian Abdelbagi and the Uganda Boxing Federation President Moses Muhangi.
Football players such as Vipers’ forward Martin Kizza, Bright Stars striker Nelson Senkatuka and Mustafa Kizza of KCCA FC were also in attendance.
Africa Boxing Championship bronze medalist Muzamir Semuddu powered past Richard Kasujja in the main fight on week 11.
Semuddu stopped Kasujja in the third round of their Elite (71Kg) bout to send his fans into delight.
In other fights, Alfred Ojok unanimously defeated Harold Mukuye (5-0) in the Elite 75Kg fight while Swalla Halima stopped Anna Nanyanzi in the second round of the Women’s Junior 50Kg fight.
Kato Kazibwe unanimously cruised 5-0 past Aggrey Kayolo in the Special contest while John Semugayire registered a split decision win of 5-2 against Felix Onen in the Youth 75Kg bout.
Ibrahim Salima unanimously 5-0 beat Babirye Mutebi in the Junior 54Kg fight while Mark Lukomagi stopped Kalule Kenneth in the Youth 48Kg bout.
Katushabe Angel unanimously 5-0 prevailed past Lagum Rebecca in the Youth 50kg category whereas Nasinge Garvin needed a review against Nasasira Moses to clinch a 5-2 win in the Junior 60Kg bout.
Apio Irene unanimously clinched a 5-0 win over Namitala Daphine in the 52 Junior category while Ochama Destiny had a split 4-1 win against Ashraf Mwanga in the Junior 57Kg bout.
