New Uganda premier League entrants Calvary FC earned their first point in the top-flight division with a goalless stalemate with Maroon FC at Luzira on Wednesday.

Calvary FC under the stewardship of Jimmy Kintu had lost their opening two games to Lugazi FC and Buhimba United Saints.

They suffered a 3-1 loss to Lugazi FC before a 2-0 defeat to fellow newcomers Buhimba United Saints.

Maroons FC came into the contest after their 2-1 win over UPDF FC in their previous league game but couldn’t breakdown a Calvary side in a barren stalemate on Wednesday.

Maroons FC is currently ninth on the table while Calvary are 13th on the log.

Meanwhile, Lugazi FC and URA FC played out to a goalless draw at Najjembe in the other game played on Wednesday.

Alex Isabirye Musongola’s side remain winless this term having drawn all the four games they have played this term while Lugazi are yet to register victory since their 3-1 win over Calvary FC on the opening day.
