The Uganda Boxing team has returned home on Sunday, 26th October 2025 after their heroics at the Africa Zone 3 Boxing championship that were held in Kenya.
Uganda clinched 15 medals at the event and finished second overall behind Congo.
Uganda Boxing Federation president Moses Muhangi who was recently nominated for Kampala Central parliamentary seat hosted the triumphant team at a luncheon held at Grand Imperial Hotel.
16 boxers represented Uganda at the Africa Zone 3 Boxing championship with 15 winning medals.
Five of the medals won by the bombers were gold, four silver medals and six bronze medals.
Fatima Nabikolo, Emilly Nakalema, Aziz Rigo, Kasimu Murungi and Farhat Manirola were the gold medalists.
Brenda Muduuwa, Alfred Ojok, Edward Mukwaya and Samuel Ochen clinched silver medals.

The bronze medals were won by Erina Namutebi, Livingstone Matovu, Alex Kanaabi, Emmanuel Tabule, Angel Katushabe, Jimmy Adriko and Kato Kazibwe.
The team is expected to officially handover the medals to National Council of Sports early next week.
For boxers Angel Katushabe, Fatuma Namakula, Adriko Jimmy and Alfred Ojok focus will now turn to the Riyadh city for the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Saudi Arabia.
