Reigning Entebbe Open professional champion David Kamulindwa has clinched the 2025 Kinyara Golf Open in Masindi.
Kamulindwa beat 20 other professional golfers to smile to the title at the 27th edition of the Kinyara Golf Open.
He managed a score of 1-over-72 gross in the opening round before registering a 5-under-66 in the subsequent round to cruise to a total of 138(4 under).
Over 36 holes, Kamulindwa registered 9 birdies, 23 pars and 5 bogies. Seven of the birdies arrived during round two on holes 3, 6,7, 9, 13,16 and 18.
“I am extremely proud to win the Kinyara Golf Open in the professional category.The course was in good condition. It keeps improving every year. I am so happy for myself. This is my third triumph this year after winning the Watoto and Entebbe open. I thank the management of Kinyara Sugar for organizing this wonderful event.” Said Kamulindwa
Last year’s champion Grace Kasango was second with a score of 143 whilst Marvin Kibirige finished third with 144.
Abraham Ainamani (145), Canary Kabise (148), Tom Jingo (149), Herman Deco Mutebi (149), Ronald Otile (150), Herman Mutaawe (150), James Koto (152), Richard Baguma (152), Saidi Mawa (153) are the other Professional golfers who battled for a grand prize of UGX 10 million.
