Kitara FC ended BUL FC’s unbeaten run in the league with a 1-0 win at Royals Park in Butema on Thursday.

The Eastern Giants had gone 25 games without defeat since their loss to UPDF FC on December 4th last year.

At Butema, James Kalema netted the only goal in the 11th minute as Kitara FC returned to winning ways.

Kalema fired the Royals into the lead after goalkeeper Farouk Yawe failed to deal with Frank Tumwesigye Zaga’s cross.

BUL finished the game with a man-less after defender Barni Kelvin Tah was sent off in the 28th minute of the contest.

Barni had earlier been booked in the 13th minute before he was shown marching orders in the 28th minute.

Abbey Kikomeko’s charges tried to look for the equaliser but couldn’t breakdown Wasswa Bbosa’s men who prevailed to maximum points.

Kitara is now third on the Uganda Premier League table with ten points while BUL drops to fifth with ten points as well.
