NEC FC head coach Badru Kaddu has revealed their league target for the first round of the 2025/26 campaign.

Kaddu who replaced Hussein Mbalangu earlier this year asserts that they will be targeting 33 points in the first round.

“The players are trainable and ready to learn. For now, we have to start winning games and our target is to finish the first round with 33 points and then talk about being in the title race.” Said Kaddu

Kaddu’s charges have managed just one win in their first six league games and will on Tuesday host struggling newcomers Calvary under the lights of Lugogo.

NEC is currently 12th on the Uganda Premier League table with six points and five above bottom placed Calvary FC.

Last season, NEC finished as runners up to champions Vipers SC and in the 2023/24 season they were Stanbic Uganda Cup finalists losing to Kitara FC. Actually they have been in the title race in their first two seasons in the top-flight.
