Kitara FC registered their second consecutive win with a 2-1 victory over Police FC on Thursday at Police Arena, Kira.
This was the first defeat for the Cops at their new home and their second in the league this term.
Kitara who last week ended BUL FC’s 25-match unbeaten run needed Patrick Henry Kaddu and Isaac Atuhairwe goals to overcome Matia Lule’s side.
Kaddu gave the visitors an early lead in the 8th minute when he calmly slot home from the spot.
With two minutes to halftime breather, Jimmy Kalema who has had a brilliant start to his Kitara career came close to doubling their advantage but was denied by goalkeeper Edward Kasibante.
Three minutes past the hour mark, Lawrence Tezikya levelled matters for the home side.
In added time, Atuhairwe broke the Cops hearts with a late winner.
Wasswa Bbosa’s men move up to fourth with 13 points they have garnered in seven games while Police miss a chance to return to the top of the log following defeat.
