South Africa (Bafana Bafana) head coach, Hugo Broos has officially named his final squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Belgian tactician, who guided the Bafana Bafana to a third-place finish in Cote d’Ivoire named his final 25-man squad that will be aiming at going further than the impressive podium finish they secured at the 2023 finals in Cote d’Ivoire.
Notable inclusions in the squad for the 1996 champions is 2023 AFCON goalkeeper of the Tournament, Ronwen Williams.
UK based striker, Lyle Foster who plays for Burnley FC along with Mohau Nkota and Relebohile Mofokeng are also in the squad.
Broos’ team is dominated by locally based players who boast continental experience under their belt through the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup over the last two seasons.
The Belgian guided the 1996 champions to the FIFA World Cup qualification due next year since last appearing as hosts in 2010.
Africa’s biggest football tournament is set to take place between 21 December 2025–18 January 2026.
All 24 participating teams are to submit their final squads on 11th December 2025.
