ADO Den Haag striker Jesse Bal is the latest player to emerge on the Uganda Cranes radar, Swift Sports understands.
Bal was born in Kampala, Uganda on 1st October 2006 and moved to the Netherlands at a young age.
The 19-year-old forward has previously played for the Netherlands U16, U17 and U18 National Teams.
As a budding exciting player, Bal played for Sparta Rotterdam from where was loaned out to the Parma Youth Team in Italy early this year before joining ADO Den Haag in August on a two year deal.
Bal has enjoyed an impressive start to the season scoring five goals and four assists in the 15 games he has played for ADO Den Haag in the Dutch 2nd tier.
He is seen as a prized asset for ADO Den Haag as the team strives to get promoted back to the Dutch topflight.
The lanky forward primarily plays as a striker, but can ably play on both the left and right hand side of attack.
It should be remembered that last month Uganda Cranes coach Paul Put hinted on having an exciting forward as a new face in the Uganda Cranes squad but said it was too early to speak about him.
“ There is another player in the Netherlands, he is a young player, talented. It is early to talk about him,” Put briefly said while addressing the inclusion of Alhassan Baba and Melyvn Lorenzen.
Put has had a strategy of adding new European based players into the Uganda Cranes fold in a bid to add quality, competition and experience.
Elio Capradossi, Toby Sibbick, Jordan Obita, Uche Ikpeazu, Alhassan Baba, Calvin Kabuye, Carl Mujaguzi and Melyvn Lorenzen (returnee) are some of the new faces unleashed in Paul Put’s tenure.
Isak Ssewankambo, Herbert Bockhorn, Bashir Humphreys and Charlton Athletic right back Nathan Asiimwe (on loan at AFC Wimbledon) among others are some of the players who have been on the Uganda Cranes radar during Put’s tenure.
