Uganda Cranes suffered a 3-1 defeat to Tunisia during their Africa Cup of Nations group C contest on Tuesday night at the Olympic Stadium.
Tunisia’s midfielder Mejbri Hannibal who had an outstanding night revealed that he was impressed with Travis Mutyaba’s performance.
“They (Uganda) were a good team but the conditions were a bit difficult for them but I hope they have a good tournament.The whole team was good but number ten was outstanding for me.” Said Hannibal as quoted by Kawowo Sports
The Manchester United Academy graduate who currently piles for Burnley in England asserted that the win against the Cranes was important for the 2004 champions.
“It was important for us to start with victory. Obviously, it gives us momentum going into the next games and I believe we have had a good run, right from the World Cup qualifiers which could be important in our AFCON journey,” Hannibal added
Uganda Cranes next face off with Tanzania on 27th December while Tunisia will battle with three time Africa champions Nigeria on the same day.
