Nigeria swept aside 10-man Uganda 3-1 in Fes on Tuesday to record a third win in Group C at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and send the East African side home.
Raphael Onyedika scored twice and Paul Onuachu netted his first international goal in four years for the three time African champions.
Nigeria ended their group stage campaign top with nine points followed by Tunisia and Tanzania, who reached the last 16 as one of the four best third-placed sides following their 1-1 draw with Tunisia on Tuesday.
It was a much changed starting eleven for Nigeria who had already secured top spot in the group.
Uganda netted a consolation through Rogers Mato and used three goalkeepers in the game following an injury for veteran goalkeeper Denis Onyango and a red card for Salim Magoola.
Nigeria will remain in Fes and face whoever finishes third in Group F – one of Mozambique, Cameroon or Ivory Coast – on Monday (19:00 GMT).
Uganda, meanwhile, exit the tournament and extend their winless run at Afcon to six matches dating back to 2019.
