Lugazi FC registered a vital point away to SC Villa during the Uganda Premier league contest at FUFA Stadium Kadiba on Saturday.
SC Villa had won six consecutive home games coming into contest against Lugazi including a commanding 6-1 win over Mbarara City earlier in the week.
Only Entebbe UPPC had managed to pick a point against the Jogoos at FUFA Kadiba this term.
Simon Peter Mugerwa currently managing Lugazi frustrated his former paymasters’ title credentials with a goalless stalemate.
It was a deserved point for the visitors who defended well against the record league champions.
Frank Ssebufu who has so far netted four league goals for SC Villa failed to hit the target on several occasions.
SC Villa are now fourth on the Uganda Premier League table same as Entebbe UPPC and KCCA with 30 points each, six points adrift of leaders Vipers SC.
