Uganda Cranes striker Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru has completed a transfer deadline move to Ross County FC from fellow Scottish Championship side St Johnstone FC.

Uche leaves St. Johnstone, a side he joined in 2024 from English side Port Vale.

The stocky striker spent a significant time at St. Johnstone nursing a long term injury but played a total of 25 games scoring four goals and getting one assist.

He will wear shirt number 9 at Ross County and is expected to ignite the club’s hopes of surviving relegation heading into the business end of the season.

Ross County currently sit bottom of the Scottish Championship (2nd tier) table with 19 points from 22 games played.

Ross County will be Uche’s third Scottish team he has played for having previously featured for Hearts FC in 2018.

The 30 year old striker was part of the Uganda Cranes squad that played at the recently concluded AFCON and scored an equalizer against Tanzania.

He was born in Harrow, London to a Nigerian father Alexander Madu Ikpeazu and a Ugandan mother Marion Lule Ikpeazu.

Rogers Mato (Hearts FC) and Jordan Obita (Hibernian FC) are the other Uganda Cranes players plying their trade in Scotland.
