The 52nd edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup one has been well underway since the end of last year when the qualifying rounds began.
But the tournament kicks into high gear this Thursday with the round of 64, when seven Uganda Premier League teams enter the fray.
Holders Vipers SC will kickoff their title defense away to Northern Gateway FC a side that features in the Northern Regional League.
It should be noted that Vipers SC defeated KCCA FC 2-0 at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba to win their fourth Uganda Cup.
KCCA FC last year’s runners up make a trip to Masindi to battle St.George Masindi who play in the Kitara Regional league.
Joint record competition winners Express who have ten trophies as KCCA FC are away to Pakwach Youngsters.
Buhimba United Saints are the other UPL side in action today and will be away to Tapoh FC in Ngora while Busia Young FC entertains Mbarara City in Busia.
2022 Stanbic Uganda Cup winners BUL FC are to make a trip to Kotido to face off with Agape United Kotido while UPDF FC who had coaching changes will have a short trip to Makindye where they will face Nsambya SC in the other game on Thursday.

The 32 matches that make up the third round are all single elimination and not two-legged, home-and-away affairs.
If a game is tied after 90 minutes of regulation time, it’ll go to penalty kicks to determine the winner.
