Experienced Duo to leave NEC FC

NEC FC is to part ways with the experienced duo of Paul Mucureezi and Muzamir Mutyaba, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

This website has established that the duo will leave the Bugolobi based side following expiry of their employment contracts.

Both players joined NEC at the start of the 2024/25 season on two year deals and will be out of contract at the the end of this season but the club is ready to part ways with them this transfer window.

Mutyaba is a former KCCA FC Midfielder and also featured for Mbale Heroes FC and Marozons FC.

 

Besides KCCA FC and Mbale Heroes, Mutyaba has previously featured for SC Victoria University, Express FC and Rwanda Premier League side Kiyovu FC.

At Express FC, Mutyaba helped them lift the 2020/21 Uganda Premier League title and was also a key member as the Red Eagles lifted the 2021 CECAFA Kagame Cup that was held in Tanzania.He also enjoyed a lot of success at KCCA FC, winning several titles including three league titles and Uganda Cup (2).

Mucureezi just like Mutyaba featured for KCCA FC. He also played for Vipers SC, Kitara FC as well as Mbarara City FC.

NEC FC finished seventh on the Uganda Premier League table with 20 points and will begin their second round against KCCA FC in the Lugogo derby this Friday.
