KCCA FC closed the gap at the top of the Uganda Premier League table with a 2-0 win away to Buhimba United Saints on Monday at Royals Park in Butema.
Ahimbisibwe scored both goals for the 13-time league champions to extend his goal tally to nine along with Entebbe UPPC’s Ambeos Kigozi.
Three minutes to the stroke of halftime, Ahimbisibwe gave the visitors the lead after being fed by Saidi Mayanja.
After the break, KCCA handed Kennedy Muserero his debut when he replaced Shafik Kwikiriza while Rogers Mugisha came on for Mayanja.
Bright Anukani made his first league appearance this season when he replaced Lazaro Muhindo and Alex Yiga came on for Ashraf Mugume.
Ahimbisibwe sealed the victory for the Kasasiro Boys in the 88th minute with his second goal of the contest.
KCCA is now third on the Uganda Premier League table with 36 points, two adrift of leaders Vipers SC who play Lugazi FC on Tuesday night. Next on the agenda for KCCA will be a home contest against Police FC on Friday.
