NEC FC has revealed the injury status of six players ahead of their home league game against Entebbe UPPC tonight at the MTN Omondi Stadium.
Jacob Okao, Hudson Mbalire, Joseph Dhata, Joseph Sseremba, Emmanuel Ajo and Jonathan Oluka are all sidelined.
According to the club website, Okao who underwent Achilles tendon reconstruction surgery following an Achilles rupture is expected to return to full fitness in the coming 2 months.
Dhata sustained a fracture to the ulna and remains on the sidelines. He will approximately be out for five weeks.
Sseremba picked up a right ankle sprain and is working through his recovery protocol. He is expected to return to full training and full fitness in around two weeks.
Oluka suffered a right medial collateral ligament sprain combined with a medial meniscal injury. He has responded positively to treatment and is on course to return to full fitness in one month.
Hudson Mbalire sustained a left foot contusion and has already begun his structured return-to-play programme.
Ajo is sidelined with a medial collateral ligament sprain and associated medial meniscal injury. He is undergoing targeted rehabilitation and is expected to return to full fitness in five weeks.
NEC FC is currently 7th on the Uganda Premier League table with 30 points, five behind Entebbe UPPC whom they play tonight.
