Kitara FC booked their spot in the Stanbic Uganda Cup with a 3-0 win over Express FC on Easter Sunday at Royals Park in Butema.
George Ssenkaaba netted a brace with Emmanuel Alex Wasswa adding the other for the 2024 competition winners.
Ssenkaaba gave the home side the lead in the 27th minute before completing his brace early into the second half.
Wasswa put the final nail in the coffin of his former paymasters in the 85th minute of the game.
Kitara who were eliminated at the semifinal stage last year join holders Vipers SC and URA FC in the semis.
The quarterfinal stage will climax on Easter Monday as SC Villa travel to competition’s dark horses Happy Boyz Kagaba.
