The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has scheduled a consultative meeting with chairpersons of all Uganda Premier League clubs.
According to development from FUFA the consultative meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 7th May 2026.
The meeting will be held at the FUFA Complex in Mengo and will bring together key stakeholders to discuss matters related to the top-tier league.
In the development from FUFA, they will discuss a review of the 2025/26 season as well as governance, business and sporting plans for the 2026/27 season.
According to the FUFA Corporate Affairs Director Ahmed Hussein, this is one of the ways the institution keeps in touch with it’s members.
“FUFA is always in constant communication with the clubs and the consultative meeting is one of the ways.”
“Such consultative engagements are vital in strengthening collaboration with clubs and enhancing the overall performance of the league.” Said Hussein
It should be noted that current season was to be played in three rounds but in October last year, FUFA reverted to the old format following blacklash from the clubs and fans.
FUFA President Moses Magogo at the time stated,
As FUFA, we have listened to the clubs and other stakeholders and agreed that we revert to the old format for this season. We will go back and make more reviews, further consultations and we will get back to it next season,” he said
The 2025/26 league season will officially climax on May 23rd, with the champions set to be crowned on the same day.
