Vipers SC’s Stanbic Uganda cup defence in trouble when they travel to Hoima to face Kitara in the first leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup semi-final at Royals Park in Butema.
The two sides are seeking first leg advantage ahead of the return leg that is scheduled in two weeks time at Kitende.
Vipers are unbeaten on the pitch this term with their only defeat coming in the boardroom against today’s opponents Kitara.
The Venoms come into this contest top of the league table and five above Kitara FC.
The most recent meeting between the two sides ended in a goalless stalemate at Kitende.

Kitara assistant coach Wasswa Bbosa believes home advantage will be key for his side.
“They are one of the best sides in the division but we have prepared well and sure we can get a good result,” said Bbosa.
