Three time Masaza Cup champions have confirmed their coaching staff for the 2026 prestigious Buganda Kingdom organized competition.
Mawokota for a fifth time will be managed by Richard Malinga who recently won the Uganda Secondary School Sports Association boys football title with Amus College.
Malinga will be seeking his first ever Masaza Cup glory this term and will be assisted by Richard Kansole and Hakim Ssenkumba.

Tumusime Zzaga is the goalkeeping coach while Ssengoba Nicholas is the team doctor. John Bosco Lubyayi Sseguya is the team manager.
Mawokota have gone 13 years without winning the Masaza Cup title with their previous success coming in 2013 when they beat Ssingo 1-0 thanks to a Farouk Miya sole goal.
Mawokota are winners of the competition in 2005, 2007 and 2013, they will this year begin their campaign against Ronald Ssali’s Kyaggwe on 21st June at Buwama Playgrounds.
Record competition winners Gomba Lions, three-time champions Bulemeezi, 2022 champions Busiro and Ssese are Mawokota’s other opponents in Masengere Group.
