KCCA FC have began formal talks with out of contract SC Villa midfielder Elvis Ngonde for a possible transfer, Swift Sports Uganda can reliably confirm.
Ngonde is currently a free agent following expiration of his employment contract at SC Villa at the end of the just concluded season.
He joined the record Uganda Premier League champions at the start of the 2023/24 season from Gaddafi FC on a three year deal.
In that same season, the versatile midfielder helped the Jogoos end their 20-year wait without a league title.
He has however struggled for playing time ever since Zeljko Kovacevic took over at the record league champions. Sources reveal that Ngonde is unlikely to renew his stay at Villa, giving KCCA a massive opportunity to land his signature.
Ngonde was also part of the Uganda Cranes 2024 CHAN team that reached the quarterfinal stage of the tournament co-hosted in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
