South Sudan Premier League giants Jamus SC have completed the signing of NEC FC defender Joseph Dhata Lujang.

Dhata joins Jamus on a two year employment contract as a free agent following his departure at NEC FC.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of national team star and international Dhata Joseph Stephen on a two-year deal coming from Uganda’s Nec FC.
Welcome to the club.” Jamus announced

At NEC, Dhata has been a reliable source of goals while deployed as a right wing back for both club and country.

He was the top scorer of the Stanbic Uganda Cup during the 2023/24 season with six goals but also scored six league goals in the same campaign.

Dhata made his topflight debut with Vipers SC in the 2020/21 season before joining Express FC a season later in pursuit of sufficient playing time.

Hassan Wasswa Dazo, Ezra Bida, Rashid Okocha and goalkeeper Richard Anyama and Jude Ssemugabi are some of the other players who have featured in the Uganda Premier league and currently feature for Jamus.
