Massive player exodus expected at URA FC this transfer window

Four time Uganda Premier league champions URA FC could lose as many as six players in this transfer window.

Goalkeepers Derrick Ochan is among those out of contract at the Revenue collectors this month. He joined URA at the start of the 2024/25 season on a two year deal which expires this month. The former KCCA FC, Vipers SC and Police FC goalkeeper is not expected to renew his stay at URA.

Justine Opiro, Amisi Bwangani, Matovu Faisal, Shafik Lugolobi, Denis Kisiriko Luzige are all out of contract at URA FC.

Kisiriko joined URA in 2023 after impressing at St. Henry’s Kitovu in the USSSA Schools football competition. He is out of contract at URA this month.

Lugolobi finished the just concluded season at Express whom he joined on a six months loan. He joined URA at the start of the 2024/25 season from FUFA Big League side Ntugasaze FC.

URA FC are still in the market for a new head coach to replace Hussein Mbalangu whose six month deal expired. Jimmy Kintu of Express currently leads the list.
