Uganda Premier League entity SC Villa has confirmed that it will return to Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku as their home venue for the 2026/27 season.
The Jogoos was confirmed the development on Sunday at the club’s Annual General Meeting held at East High in Kulambiro.
Villa hosted the 2025/26 campaign at FUFA Stadium Kadiba but the venue will be closed for refurbishment in preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
Kadiba will serve as a training facility for the Africa Cup of Nations to be co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
Villa returns to Wankulukuku as their home ground, a venue they hosted their games in 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2024/25 campaigns.
Following the installation of floodlights at Wankulukuku, the record league champions will be able to host night games at the facilities unlike in the previous campaigns.
Villa has already beefed up their squad with the acquisation of John Asiimwe and FUFA Big League top scorer for 2025/26 season Isaac Gumperom while Denis Ojara was rewarded with a new contract after recovering from a longterm injury.
Hassan Mubiru, Diego Misi Ssemugera, Charles Lwanga and Elvis Ngonde have departed the club following expiration of their respective contracts.
