Uganda to Host 1st Round of Challenge League B Tournament in November

The Uganda Cricket Association is excited to announce that Uganda will host the 1st round of the Challenge League B tournament from November 4 to November 16, 2024.

This highly anticipated event will feature six competitive teams: Uganda, Tanzania, Bahrain, Singapore, Italy, and Hong Kong China.
The Challenge League B serves as a crucial pathway to the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, which will take place in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

Matches will be held at the prestigious Lugogo Cricket Oval and Entebbe Cricket Oval, promising a thrilling experience for both players and fans alike.
Eng. Fred Lutaaya, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, expressed his enthusiasm:

“We are thrilled to be hosting the 1st round of the Challenge League as Uganda. This opportunity reflects the ICC’s confidence in the Uganda Cricket Association as a capable host nation. Having previously hosted the same event in 2022 and the finals of the Women’s World Cup Qualifiers last year, we see this tournament as an incredible opportunity for our players to showcase their skills.
