Ugandan referee shortlisted for 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup

Ugandan Beach Soccer referee Ivan Kintu Bayige has been shortlisted among referees for the upcoming 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

Kintu Bayige was one of the two Ugandan referees who refereed at the 2024 CAF Beach Soccer AFCON in Egypt two months ago.

Kintu is a former FUFA Club Licensing Manager who also previously served as an interim CEO of Express FC in 2018.

The 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup tournament will be held in Seychelles between May 1st – 11th 2025.

This will be the first time to have a Beach Soccer World Cup held on the African continent.

Eight teams have so far qualified for the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup while eight more berths are up for the grabs between now and March next year.

Seychelles (hosts), Mauritania, Senegal, Tahiti, Belarus, Italy, Portugal and Spain have so far qualified.
