Match-Day five of the FUFA Big League climaxed on Sunday with several games played at various grounds.
Wakiso Giants were the biggest victors following their 4-2 win over Nebbi Central on Sunday at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.
Annest Ankunda netted a brace before in form Bashir Mutanda and Issa Bugembe added the other goals for the Baker Mbowa coaches Purple Sharks who are now on 10 points, one adrift of leaders Blacks Power.
Samuel and William Muguromo struck the two goals for Nebbi Central.
Bastu Ssemuyaba’s Kaaro Karungi thrashed Onduparaka 3-0 at Kyamate Stadium in Ntungamo, courtesy of goals from Walter Lubangakene who netted a brace and Ronald Turyesima.
This was the first victory of the campaign for Ssemuyaba’s side.
Kataka edged Mbale Heroes 1-0 in the Mbale derby with Marcus Akii netting the all important goal while Soltilo Bright Stars overcame Kiyinda Boys 1-0 in the other contest.
Kiyinda Boys and Ntugasaze shared spoils in a 1-1 draw whereas Bunyaruguru United and Kigezi Homeboyz played out to a goalless stalemate.
The other goalless draws were games between Iganga United and Paidha Black Angels contest as well as CATDA and Blacks Power.
