FUFA Big League side CATDA FC has appointed Wasswa Godfrey as their new head coach following the departure of George Best Nsimbe.
Nsimbe was sacked at the end of last month following a poor string of results.
Wasswa who in November part ways with Paidha Black Angels has been entrusted with the responsibility of coaching the side.

CADA Fc wishes to officially inform the football fraternity, stakeholders, supporters, and the general public of the successful contractual partnership with Mr. Wasswa Godfrey Ibrahim, who has been appointed as the Club’s Head Coach. He will therefore assume responsibility and continue from the Club’s current position on the league table.The Club Administration firmly believes that his appointment is a strategic and technical decision aimed at realigning and strengthening the team’s performance, competitiveness, and results as the season progresses.
CATDA Football Club, (current Regional Champions and newly promoted entrants to the professional league), recognizes Mr. Wasswa’s vast experience, proven leadership, and meaningful contribution to the Ugandan football fraternity across various professional levels. His qualifications, technical insight, and understanding of top-level football make him the preferred choice to guide the team toward its long-term vision and future participation at the highest professional league competitions.

Wasswa has previously served as assistant coach at Maroons Football Club and Mbarara City FC in the Uganda Premier League.
He also served as head coach for Kooki Ssaza (2016), Gomba Ssasa team, Gomba Kanoni Red Lions (2007) and Kira United (2019).
CATDA is currently 12th on the FUFA Big league table with 16 points they have garnered in 14 games this term.
