The 2026 season of the Uganda Boxing Champions league will officially get underway this Saturday with explosive fights at Club Obligato.
The event organised by the Uganda Boxing Federation will have 27 bouts on the opening night with the fight between Khemis Ibrahim and Shafiq Nasasira headlining the event.
Before action, fighters will have the official weigh-in and medical examination on Friday.

The fight between Khemis of Kibuli Mutajjazi and Nasasira will as well serve as the second trial for the two fighters in their commonwealth elimination battle.
Nasasira clinched the title last season after his triumph over Khemis in the final. Khemis got his revenge when they met in the first trial during the national open final in April this year.
Khemis will secure his place on the plane to the Glasgow games with another win over his rival this Saturday.
Meanwhile, Boxing fans who will purchase tickets on every fight night will have a chance to win prizes such as TV sets, woofers, paint among others as introduced by the Uganda Boxing Federation.

A brand new car will also be up for grabs for VIP ticket holders at the climax of the season.
In preparation for season five, UBF also organised the coaches and referees four-day courses climax on Friday at TLC in Kamwokya.
