Embattled Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) President Eng.Moses Magogo was in attendance as the Uganda U-17 national women’s team played out to a 1-1 draw with Kenya in the 2026 U17 Women’s World Cup first leg qualifier at FUFA Kadiba Stadium.
Magogo watched the game, amidst the ongoing saga regarding the outgoing Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among who is also the wife to the FUFA boss.

On the pitch, Uganda and Kenya shared spoils in a 1-1 stalemate during the first leg of the second round for the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
Shadia Nabirye gave the Teen Cranes the lead before but Kenya leveled matters through substitute Emily Adhiambo.
Nabirye gave the hosts the lead when she finished off a brilliant move in the 13th minute of the contest.
The move was started by Immaculate Acen who set up Justine Ayerango whose effort was saved by Kenya’s goalkeeper Mishel Okoyo.
Nabirye, however capitalized on the rebound to give Uganda an early lead.
At the hour mark, Kenya restored parity following a poor clearance from Uganda’s goalkeeper Aida Maimuna Namuwaya.
Namuwaya failed to clear the ball after moving from her line with Kenya’s Adhiambo levelling matters.
Sheila Atieno came close to clinching a win for Kenya in the closing stages of the contest but Namuwaya tipped over the bar.
The two teams will meet in Nairobi next week for the return fixture to determine the team that advances to the third round of the qualification phase.
