Crested Cranes forward Hasifa Nassuna is set to complete a long awaited move to Europe, Swift Sports reliably understands.
Nassuna who currently plays for FUFA Women Super League champions Kampala Queens is expected to join a yet confirmed club in Denmark.
While her next destination is yet to be established, Swift Sports sources reveal that Nassuna will be moving to Aalborg BK which competes in the Danish top-flight league.
Nassuna has been widely regarded as the best female player of her generation given her longevity, talent, impact and achievements in the game.
She rose to prominence while playing for Kawempe Muslim from where she moved to UCU Lady Cardinals and recently became the first player to reach 100 goals in the Women’s League.
Nassuna has been a mainstay on the Senior National Team (The Crested Cranes) since making her debut in 2016 against Kenya in Kisumu.
If her imminent move is completed, she will become the sixth Ugandan female player plying trade in Denmark.
Others are goalkeepers Vanessa Karungi and Daphine Nyayenga, defender Aisha Nantongo, midfielder Phiona Nabbumba and forward Resty Nanziri.
Nantongo plays for Aalborg BK, Karungi plays for FC Nordsjaelland while the trio of Nanziri, Nyayenga and Nabbumba features for B93 Copenhagen Women.
