She can ably play on either side of the pitch, as a defender but also as a striker, a role she has been playing since moving to USA in 2018.
Nakayenze has been a senior member of the Crested Cranes team since making her debut in 2016 as Uganda lost 4-0 to Kenya in a friendly in Kisumu.
She went on to feature in the 2016 and 2018 CECAFA tournaments held in Njeru and Kigali respectively as well as the 2022 Women’s AFCON in Morocco last year.
As a young player, Nakayenze was scouted by Kawempe Muslim in 2011 while playing for Mbale SS. She subsequently joined Kawempe that year and won multiple titles with the school.
Notably, she won the 2012 FEASSSA title in Burundi and three FUFA Women Elite League titles between 2015 and 2017.
She joined UCU in 2017 to pursue her studies and won the 2018 FUFA Women’s Cup with UCU Lady Cardinals.
She moved on for further studies at Seminole State College in USA before switching to Lindsey Wilson College.
She is the second player to be signed by the four time League champions after Mary Kabaculeezi who was signed from Tooro Queens.
