The organizers of the monthly Fortebet Real Stars Awards have on Tuesday announced the winners for the month of May with four sports disciplines rewarded.
The winners were rewarded at a ceremony held on Tuesday, June 2, at Nanjing Restaurant in Kololo on Tuesday morning.

Uganda Cranes and Young Africans attacker Allan Okello won the football accolade beating SC Villa striker Charles Lwanga and Uganda Cubs captain Owen Mukisa.
Okello had an outstanding month with Young Africans, scoring seven goals for the side during that period. Okello currently with the Uganda Cranes team which is preparing for the friendly matches against Tanzania and Madagascar in Morocco was represented by his agent Sultan Atubo.

Peruth Chemutai who stormed to the women’s 3000m steeplechase victory at the Diamond League meeting in Xiamen, China won the Athletics gong.
The 2020 Olympic champion clocked 8:51.06 to defeat reigning world champion Winfred Yavi in China.

In Netball, Christine Namulumba won the accolade after coming out on top to beat Joan Nantumbwe of Police Netball Club and Margaret Bagala of KCCA Netball Club.


Namulumba helped her Prisons Netball Club side win the 2026 East Africa Netball Championship that were held in Kenya.
In chess, Alvin Muhirwa emerged winner ahead of Jacinta Mbabazi and Ronald Wabwire.


He won gold medal at the African Junior Chess Championship (U16 category), which was hosted in Uganda.
