Netball Uganda has confirmed the 15-woman She Cranes Squad for the 2026 Commonwealth Games due in Scotland, Glasgow.
Commonwealth association Uganda President Dr. Donald Rukare watched Team Uganda training at the hockey grounds in Lugogo on Monday.

Also in attendance was Netbll Uganda president Jocelyn Ucanda. The She Cranes will be captained by veteran Rachael Nanyonga while Rashid Mubiru is the head coach.
Mubiru’s charges will also have a ten-day residential camp at the Jeph University indoor courts in Butabika before five-day camping in Johannesburg where they will have test matches against South Africa.
Who make up the She Cranes Commonwealth games squad; Mary Nuba, Shadiah Nassanga, Racheal Nanyonga, Alice Isoto, Margaret Bagala, Lillian Achola, Mercy Batamuliza, Hindu Namutebi and Joan Ryekoboth.
Others are; Shafie Nalwanja, Gloria Ayaa, Christine Nakitto, Hanisha Muhammed, Nasimu Mutesi and veteran Stella Nanfuka.
Uganda will compete in 10 disciplines at the 2026 Commonwealth Games due next month in Glasgow. The delegation will include athletes in athletics, netball, boxing, 3×3 basketball, swimming, weightlifting, para powerlifting, para swimming, judo and track cycling.
