The 2024 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) national boys’ football championship climaxed on Sunday in Masaka.
The competition has over 64 schools across the country with Mukono based St Julian coming out on top.
St. Julian defied all the odds to clinch their maiden title with a comfortable 3-0 win over Amus College in the Final on Sunday.
St. Mary’s Kitende who came in the competition as favourites finished third after their 1-0 victory over Bukedea Comprehensive School in third place playoff.
Blessed Sacrament Kimanya’s Isma Magala was named the tournament’s Most Valuable player for his astonishing performances during the one week action in Masaka.
Amus College’s Hakim Musaaba finished as the top scorer with 11 goals while St Mary’s Kitende goalkeeper Denis Mugerwa was named the best goalkeeper.
