AIRTEL FUFA AWARDS: Okello, Nalukenge crowned 2019’s best

KCCA FC forward and Kawempe Muslim sensation Juliet Nalukenge were crowned Airtel Male Player of the year and Female Player of the year at a glamorous event held at Speke Resort Munyonyo on Saturday 14th December.

The event was graced by Prof. Mondo Kagonyera who represented the first Lady and minister of Education Janet Kataaha Museveni as chief guest.

Airtel Uganda Managing Director V.G Somasekhar, Owek. Henry Ssekabembe Kiberu (Minister of Sports, Leisure and Recreation in the Buganda Kingdom), FUFA President Eng.Moses Magogo Uganda Cranes head coach Jonathan Mckinstry, coaches and former players were all in attendance.

Okello and Nalukenge are both products of the Airtel Rising Stars competition that was introduced to promote talents from the grassroots.

This was the fifth edition with Airtel as the awards title and main sponsors.
