Kirinya Jinja SSS shocked title favourites URA FC to a 1-0 impressive win at the Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe thanks to a brilliant free kick by Isaac Ntege.
The home side looked the better side in the opening 45minutes, with Muwawu Faisal and Kayiwa Ibrahim having the most notable goal scoring efforts but could not find a cut past URA goalie Alionzi Ajab, ending the first half goalless.

URA Fc earlier in the second stanza of the game introduced Ajab Abdul Rahman for Denis Kamanzi but his introduction did not however make any impact.
Kirinya Jinja SSS Fc dominance finally paid off earlier in the second with Ntege Isaac making it 1-0 for the home team from a brilliant free kick following Mbowa Patrick’s foul on Musa Esenu.
The goal lifted morale of the hosts causing several problems to URA Fc. Ibrahim Kirya made his second substitution with Sempa Charles coming on for Munaba Allan in the 65th minute as the tax collectors pressed harder for the equaliser.
Ibrahim Kayiwa paved way for Makon Landry in the 71st minute and URA Fc made their final change in the 72nd minute as Peter Lwasa was introduced on for Kagaba Nicholas. By full time whistle the jinja based side were in jubilation as Isaac Ntege solitary goal was enough to seal them the deserved three points.
Four yellow cards were flashed in the match all going to URA, Patrick Mboowa for fouling Esenu Musa on the outside of the 18 yards box before Ntege Isaac taking a resultant freekick ,Okot Fred was also booked in the 67 minute after threatening the ball boy. In the 73 URA’s Ajab Abdul also entered into referees books following a bad tackle on Akol Godfrey and URA’s new signing Siraje ssentamu in 83rd minute after George Kasonke
