Bengo named Wakiso Giants caretaker coach

Wakiso Giants have confirmed the sacking of head coach Kefa Kisala and replaced him with former player Steven Bengo who retired from the only 2 months ago.

Bengo will start work immediately and his first match in the dugout will be an away fixture to Vipers SC at St Mary’s stadium Kitende.

In a letter signed by club CEO Sula Kamoga, Bengo will work as a caretaker as the search for a new coach rolls over.

The letter read

“In the meantime, the club has appointed former player Steven Bengo as caretaker and preparations to announce a new chapter and new head coach”.



Kisala has managed 11 league games, winning only 4, drawing 1 and losing 6. He leaves them in 10th position on the 16 team log.

Swift sports understand that Wakiso Giants have lined up former SC Villa and Tooro coach Wasswa Bbosa as a possible replacement for Kisala.
