Ahead of the 2019 CECAFA Women Championship, the Uganda Crested Cranes head coach Farida Bulega trimmed her squad to 27 players on Monday morning.
The eight dropped are Muteesa I Royal University defender Margret Birabwa, Teddy Najjuma (UCU Lady Cardinals), Rashidah Nankya ( Uganda Martyrs), Marble Kusasira ( Kampala Queens), Norah Alupo ( Savoiur FC), Brenda Nandagire ( Uganda Martyrs), Sarah Nakuya ( Nkumba University) and Mercy Nabulobi (UCU Lady Cardinals.
The remaining 27 players will enter residential camp at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru tomorrow before being trimmed further to the required number of 20 players on 11th or 12th November.
Uganda is in group B alongside Kenya, Ethiopia and Djibouti and will kick start their campaign on November 15th against Djibouti before facing Ethiopia two days later.

The Crested Cranes will end their Group B engagements with a duel against Kenya on 19th November.
The event will be stage at the Chamazi Complex in Dar-es-Salaam between 14th to 23rd November.
