Ivan Kiweewa “Kalolo” and striker Karim Ndugwa scored the all important goals for Ibrahim Kirya’s coached side in the first half of the game.

The result sent Wakiso Giants to 37 points, seven more than second placed Kyetume FC who have played a game less.

Kyetume edged UPDF 2-1 at the Nakisunga grounds in Mukono courtesy of Ben Tahomera and Faisam Malangu.

Still in the Elgon pool, Kataka FC were 2-0 winners over nine-man Entebbe FC at the CRO San siro Mbale stadium.

Peter Lusimbula and Dan Okiror were on target for Kataka while Entebbe’s duo of Bruhan Matovu and Emmanuel Shadrack was sent off for unsporting behavior.

In the Rwenzori group action, Kiboga Young were stunned by relegation fighting Kireka United 4-2 at Namboole.

Umar Mboowa scored a hat trick while Job Owora grabbed the other as Felix Sekabuuza’s coached men fell to their second defeat of the campaign.

Peter Lomolo and Abbas Kateregga were on target for Kiboga but their efforts only turned out to be consolations.

Kansai Plascon capitalized on Kiboga’s slip by earning a slim 1-0 win over the already relegated Ntinda United at Lugogo.

Michael Bugembe scored the solitary goal in the first half to ensure Kansai Plascon dislodge Kiboga from the second place with 34 points.

Kiboga are now third with 33 points, level with fellow debutants Dove FC but separated by a superior goal difference.

Dove FC thumped 10-man Water FC 4-1 at the Katusabe grounds in Masindi.

Water were reduced to 10-men at the end of the first stanza before conceding goals from David Obedmoth, Andrew Omego, Johnson Tusubira and Robert Kyamanywa.
