It was Matia Lule’s first game in the Proline dug out after taking over following the departure of Shafik Bisaso who went to Sweden for further studies.

Proline progress to the next round with a 3-0 aggregate score having won 3-0 at Lugogo a fortnight ago thanks to an Ivan Bogere hat-trick.

Despite the failure to convert their scoring chances, Lule says he is contented with his new side’s progress

” It is a good result despite struggling to play well in the first half of the game but thank God we managed to recover at halftime and got many scoring opportunities in the second half although we wasted them.”

The former Cranes assistant coach says focus is on the next opponent,

” Our focus is on the next opponent right now. We are going back on the drawing board to see how we will be handling them.”

Proline will be facing AS Kigali of Rwanda in the next round slated for next month.

AS Kigali, home to Ugandan goalkeeper Shamiru Batte, eliminated Jackson Mayanja’s KMC 2-1 on aggregate.
