Depleted KCCA aim for top spot consolidation as winless Police visits

KCCA FC will be seeking to return to winning ways when they host Police FC on Friday in the Lugogo derby at the Philip Omondi Stadium.

They have to negotiate the tie without four key players who were suspended by the FUFA disciplinary panel after they were found guilty of assaulting a match official.

The four players are defenders
Musa Ramathan and Innocent Wafula, Sadat Anaku and Ashraf Mugume.

Police FC are still searching for their first win of the current campaign after registering three draws and suffering six defeats in 9 games.

KCCA FC come into this contest after a 2-2 draw away to Vipers in their previous game while Police played out to a similar result with Gaddafi FC.

Custodian Derrick Ochan is likely to keep his place in goal as he will be facing his former paymasters.

Police FC

Hassan Mohamood remains out as he was taken to physiotherapist Annet Nankwanga for more treatment.

Odongo Johnson, Oyamo Timothy and kiberu are also still on the sidelines.

Previous five meetings

KCCA FC have managed two wins and three have ended in draws. Last season, the first round meeting ended in a 1-1 all draw before a barren stalemate in the second meeting.

Current Positions

KCCA FC are currently top of the log with 23 points accumulated in 9 games and a win will see them extend their lead at the top.

The Cops on the other hand are rock bottom but can leapfrog Soltilo Bright Stars in 14th position with a victory over KCCA FC.
