FUFA bans three Express FC fans for two years over hooliganism

The FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) has banned three Express FC fans over hooliganism acts that happened in their game away to UPDF FC that was played on 27th October, 2023 at Bombo Military Barracks Grounds.

The three fans banned are Mukenya Noah, Zimula Sulaiman and Nkata Abasi.

According to FUFA the decisions were taken into account with the application of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary code 13(1), 13(3), 14(16), 14(17) and 14(18): and before determining the sanctions, the FDP took into consideration the following factors;

Express FC offered and fully cooperated in the investigations to identify the individuals that grievously injured the assistant referee Fahad Sekayuba leaving him in a critical condition.

The FDP thus sanctions;

Mukenya Noah, Zimula Sulaiman and Nkata Abasi are hereby declared persona non grata for a period of two (2) years from all football competitions authorised and or organized by FUFA. They are prohibited from taking part in any football activities in any capacity whatsoever for a period of two years.

Express FC is directed to publish the above sanction; on all its digital media platforms and at their home stadium with clear pictures (minimum of 20cm by 20 cm) of the perpetrators identified; that is Mukenya Noah, Zimula Sulaiman and Nkata Abasi for the period of two (2) years and to ensure implementation of the decision of the panel within 48 hours from receipt of this decision.

The club is to fully cooperate with any authority whenever called upon and to ensure full implementation of this decision as stipulated herein above failure of which, the FDP shall sanction the club.

Meanwhile, Express FC will return to action on Friday with the rescheduled fixture away to Wakiso Giants.
