The Hippos made it to the semi finals yesterday 11th -November 2017 after playing to a 1-1 draw with Malawi at Arthur Davies Stadium Kitwe in Zambia.
The Hippos came from behind after conceding in the 71st minute when Steven Mukwala equalised in the 81st minute. Coach Matia said that his team has showed great resolve, coming down from a goal down in two games.
“It has been a good game , the players have put up a good performance and no matter conceding first we managed to chase the game and get the desired result.” Coach Lule said.

Excited Lule promised to build on that performance as Uganda wait the winner of Group C.
“We are going to build on that
great performance and see how we are going to face the next stage. ” Explained Coach Matia Lule.
The Hippos will be playing again on Sunday 17th December 2017 against the winner in Group C either Lesotho or Zimbabwe.
