Mbalangu believes Blacks Power’s victory over Maroons will spur survival fight

Blacks Power FC head coach Hussein Mbalangu has vowed not to give up on his team’s chances of survival from the drop.

Mbalangu made the remarks after his side defeating Maroons FC 1-0 courtesy of Denis Okwir’s first half goal,

“We are handling each and every game as a cup final and good enough it has paid us off with positive results.”

“Personally, I believe surviving relegation is very possible if we continue fighting hard until the last game of the season.”

Victory means Blacks Power has completed a double against the Prison Warders, the first leg in Luzira ended 3-1 in favor of the Lira based entity

Blacks Power remain in the relegation zone despite victory with 19 points three behind Busoga United who occupy the14th position.

They next play UPDF on Friday 28th in Bombo.

Defeat puts Maroons FC in tenth position with 27 points.

Maroons FC will also play UPDF FC on Tuesday 25th in Luzira.
