Moroccan side condemns City Oilers to a second loss in a a row

Zone V champions lost yet another game in the FIBA African Champion Cup to Moroccan side, Associations Sportive Sale.

Oilers trailed 17-24 in the first quarter but played a better 2nd quarter when they scored 22 points, 2 more points than the Moroccans reducing the gap to 5 points trailing 39-44 at half time.

Association Sportive De Sale dominated the last 2 quarters scoring 20 points in the 3rd period and 27 in the last quarter.

Oilers scored 17 and 25 in 3rd and 4th quarters respectively losing the game 81-91 a game that saw Robinson Opong convert 3 of his 5 three pointers shooting attempts.

The Uganda international was the best performer on the evening scoring the highest number of points in the game, scoring 23 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals.

Association Sportive De Salé had their best performer in Abderrahim Najah who scored 22 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1steal.

Oilers are currently 4th on the table though they haven’t won a game just like KPB and ASB and they will have to do a lot to qualify to the next round.
